Healthy milk? According to Czech the fresh one

Most Czechs thinks that fresh milk is healthier than the fresh one. It results from an inquiry made by the agency STEM/MARK in which 1000 respondents participated in January and February 2008. People think that long-life milk is less healthy (86 %), diluted (62 %) or that it contains so called preservation substances (74 %). However, according to a trophotherapist Lucie Růžičková the content of vitamins and minerals in fresh and long-life milk is almost the same. According to a specialist for milk processing Jiří Weberschinke no preservation substances are added in milk.

It is almost impossible to buy a package of really fresh, undamaged and clean eggs. An editorial test of MF DNES proved it. Eggs with damaged or dirty shells were in all twelve packages bought from different distributors. The most frequent fault was micro-cracks owing to which eggs rot more easily. Eggs of bad quality can quickly crackle in boiling water. A test made by the Institute of Chemistry and Food Analysis of the Institute of Chemical Technology Prague proved it.

Application for protection of name “Czech beer”

After long negotiations, when EC repeatedly laid claims to omit many important criteria, the application for protection of the original traditional procedure of production of Czech beer is now proposed to be remarked by EU member states. If the application is approved after a six-month term determined for reminds, domestic breweries will have a possibility to use, on their products within fulfillment of certain conditions, the name “České pivo”.
