Fourth round of reception of applications for money from RDP will start in June

Specified rules for spending financial means from the Rural Development Program of CR (RDP) were approved by the Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič today. A spokesman of the Ministry of Agriculture Petr Vorlíček informed on it and added that applicants can submit projects worked out according to these rules in the 4rt round of reception of applications for support in measures “Addition of value to agricultural and food products” and “Support of travel movement from 10th to 30th June”.

Farmers: Spring weather favours good harvest

The present weather favours a good agricultural harvest; only growers of poppy seed and sugar beet will have problems. Some farmers sowed these crops very soon owing to warm winter this year, that snowed and part of seeds frozen. On the contrary not only spring cereals but also perennial rape grow well. The president of Agrarian Chamber Jan Veleba said to ČTK.

Gandalovič approved rules of spending means OP Fishery in 2007-2013

Enterprises of production fishery and fishing unions can ask for subsidies for increase of competitiveness and development of fishery management in June. The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič approved rules for spending money from first two means of OP Fishery focused on support of investment in ponds and other facilities connected with fish production and investment for freshwater fish processing.

Sun shines, investors exult

“We are maximally content. The sun shines beautifully today so you can almost hear clinking of golden coins in a pot”, Aleš Korostenský says contentedly. What it means? Korostenský built two solar power stations on South Bohemia which produce annually electricity for about 350 houselholds. The first of them started to work last year in February; the second one this year. Moreover, he is not alone who entered into investment in so called renewable power supply and earns money. Similarly also a former railway union trade boss Jaromír Dušek rejoices. Four year ago he bought a small water power station in Jaroměř and now he is looking for pieces of land also for a solar power supply. “The year 2007 was almost my the most successful”, Dušek relishes a source on Elbe which yields about hundred thousand crowns monthly in takings.
