Prices of foods in EU grew in 2007 more than it was necessary. Farmers are not blame for above-average increase

An agrarian Chamber of Austrian federative state Vorarlberg published results of the European Commission’s study that consumers’ prices of foods in the EU increased significantly more in 2007-2008 in comparison with increase of a price of basic agricultural raw materials. In other words the higher farmers’ prices for milk or cereals in 2007 were not the main reason for rise in food prices.

Two new gas stations for CNG will be opened in highway D1

RWE Transgas prepares start of two filling gas stations for CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) in the highway D1. “Fillers at D1 are being prepared near Humpolec and Jihlava, eventually there are also other localities”, a marketing manager of RWE Lubomír Kolman. A significance of the news consists in the fact that by opening these two stations in operation a full coverage of the Czech Republic with CNG gas stations will have been done.

Official prices of rice in the USA increased significantly owing to Barma

Prices of rice on American stock-exchange market steeply grow in recent days in reaction to raging of a cyclone Nargis in Barma. Owing to the storm this south-Asian country will become obviously from exporters of this basic Asian food its importer which will further increase stress on market of this commodity. This year prices of rice in the USA have already increased by 80 percents and on Asian markets they are as much as treefold compared to the last year.
