ME: Cause of company UT 2002 has not political background

Czech media dealt with a cause of problematic research grant last week which a company UT 2002 got three years ago. Many pieces of information in media contradicted mutually. Also for the reason the Ministry of Environment (ME) decided to publish maximum of information to this case. „In media various suspicions on a political background of this cause appeared. It is absolutely absurd. We reacted completely standardly and professionally. On base of a foundation of the Supreme Inspection Office we made own checking. I was found out that the problem is real and results were passed on the relevant place – the financial office. It is absolute routine set by the law on checking“, the Minister of Environment Martin Bursík says.

Ethic requirements of meat consumers

Consumers are still more and more interested in living conditions of bread farm animals. Except a price and a quality of meat and meat products consumers are interested also in ethical viewpoints of a breeding which influence a purchase of these foods. Mass purchase from producers and quantity discounts do not go quite together with the ethic consciousness of final consumers. There is obvious still bigger and bigger interest in meat and meat products which are set afloat in specialized shops where their quality is scanned. This situation is evident especially on regional markets.

Euro: Estimation of sanitations of ecological burdens according to ME 40 bil. CZK

A qualified estimation of all sanitations of old ecological engagement with the state is according to the Ministry of Environment (ME) 40 billion crowns. The daily Euro writes it in a copy which is going to be issued on Monday. Recently, the government has passed a project for sanitation of these engagements. According to the Ministry of Finances their value is 115 billion crowns. An estimation of total costs for all sanitations, if they were realized in the present way, has been ordered by the Minister of Environment Martin Bursík. “In spite of protractions, often findings of other frequent hidden burdens as well as a considerable non-transparence of some processes this sum never should approach to the presented total guarantee”, Euro wrote.

Apples are record expensive; they will not probably decrease in price till end of holiday

Average apple prices increased to record c. 40 crowns per kilogram in June. There are only more expensive apples imported from west Europe on the market; Czech growers have already sold last year´s apples. High prices will obviously last till the end of August when fresh apples from Czech orchards should reach the shops”, a secretary of the Fruit-growers Union CR Martin Ludvík. “Czech apples from last year´s harvest were on the market till the end of May. As soon as they finished, the price jumped up”, Ludvík said. He added that people buy apples much less now because there is fresh seasonal fruit as strawberries and cherries on the market. The interest in apples also significantly decreases when their prices exceed 30 crowns per kilogram. Now prices of some varieties climb to 50 crowns.
