Europe has to prepare intensively for impacts of climatic changes, EEA says

Europe has to start to very intensively devote itself to so called adaptation measures, so those which will help Europeans to face up to real impacts of climatic changes. It results from a release published by the European Environment Agency (EEA). Growing temperatures, significant changes of rainfall sums, increase of sea level, more intensive and more often extreme climatic phenomena (windstorms, rainstorm, droughts etc.) an melting mountain and arctic glaciers – they are impacts which European will have to learn to live with and face up to.

EFSA published position to melamin risk in Europe

In certain circumstances children can accept as much as triple of daily tolerable amount of melamin. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) was asked by the European Commission to examine a possible risk from melamin presence in multi-component foods containing milk or milk products originating from China. On the 25th of September scientists from EFSA issued a position in which they state that if adults in Europe will consume chocolate and biscuits containing contaminated dry milk, they will not exceed the tolerable daily intake (TDI) of melamin which is 0,5 mg/kg of body weight, even nor in the worse case which can happen (i.e. a high content of milk component in a product and a high consumption of complete product).

Other action filed against company CE WOOD, a.s.

Lesy České Republiky, s.p. have filed other action against the company CE WOOD, a.s., this time for payment of amount outstanding in height 5 725 530 CZK, in the Regional Court in Brno by means of the law office TOMAN, DEVÁTÝ & PARTNEŘI. Similarly as in the first action a part of the action is a proposal for issuing of precaution thanks to which it is possible to set a duty to the company CE WOOD to deposit the amount required in the action in 7 days from feasibility of court rilung in a deposit in court. In the first action the Regional Court in Hradec Králové granted the application of Lesy České Republiky, s.p. for issuing the precaution.

Olma will probably change owner. Agrofert desires for it.

According to information of economic weekly EURO the owner of agricultural enterprise Agrofert, an entrepreneur Andrej Babiš, is very close to enlarge his empire by a second biggest dairy work in the country and one of the last in Czech hands – Olma in Olomouc. 51 percents of the enterprise is owned by a company Milkagro. The second biggest share, 42,3 percents is hold by a company Eligo in Pardubice. “We discuss the entering but the transaction has not been agreed yet”, Babiš said to the weekly EURO. However, its sources argue that in fact Babiš controls already more than 50 percents of stocks of the company Milkagro.
