Owing to budget farmers will block roads all over the Czech Republic
On Monday the 13th of October will be a hectic day on Czech roads. Farmers confirmed a plan that the will block most of main lines with heavy machines this day. Due to the budget reduction the protest will touch also traffic in Prague. A critical staff of the Agrarian Chamber decided on it today. Agrarians don´t like that the department is cut the most of all. If they don´t get more pay 2,8 billions, they will protest. Besides the blockades discontented farmers will assemble also in front of the government building. Protests will take place from 7 to 9 o´clock. “Concrete preparations are left in hands of particular districts and regions”, the president of Agrarian Chamber Jan Veleba said.
Contaminated milk from China has been found in Austria
Specialists have already checked 184 foods in Chinese restaurants in Austria. Meanwhile only one sample contained a dangerous melamin. Contaminated milk was found in Austria on Thursday. The same as in China also this cocktail contained the dangerous melamin. Austrian specialists calm down that there is not a wider danger for inhabitants. The cocktail was found by the inspection in a Chinese restaurant in Steiermark. According to CNN it was not sold to any customer. Owing to milk contaminated with the substance melamin four children have died in China. Other fifty thousand ended in hospitals with health problems.
Reputedly nobody cares about Czech potatoes
Farmers can not reputedly compete cheaper imports, therefore they grow potatoes only for own consumption. Year after year farmers in Klatovy region decrease areas for growing of potatoes. It is because of foreign importers who supply Czech market with potatoes for unrivalled-low prices. Nevertheless, the region Klatovy used to be a significant potato area. However, consumers have to dig down. “Potatoes belong among commodities extraordinarily demanding and economically very costly concerning growing. From a viewpoint of profitability they fall on one of the latest places among grown crops”.
Forests suffer due to proliferation of game
An expert: Game can not be reckoned, however, the number is much higher than it is reported. The amount of game is so big that forests suffer from it. Petr Koubek from the Institute of Vertebrate Biology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno insists on that. “The showed numbers in most cases wide of the mark correspond to the reality. And it is true that deer, roes and other ungulate game in bigger amount harms forests. For example the situation is catastrophic in Krušné hory or in Pilsen region already now”, Koubek asserts.
