Price of cereals dramatically decreases, in spite of that tradesmen keep price of flour high

Food wheat cheapened more than by quarter in two months. However, a price of flour does nor react to that and stays still at a high level. Tradesmen keep it where it was before a high harvest. And also before a financial crisis. The decrease in prices of food wheat and on the contrary holding high prices of flour is shown in a fresh statistics of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund. It is dealt with an authority falling within the Ministry of Agriculture. Kilogram of wheat cheapened from six crowns this year in June to 4,5 crowns in August. On the contrary price of smooth wheat flour even slightly increased in this period – from 13,56 crowns for kilo to 13,74 crowns.

Agrofert can take over companies MILKAGRO and OLMA

On the 20th of October 2008 the Office pro Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) licensed takeover of dairy-work firms MILKAGRO and OLMA from a side of the company ZEMOS which belongs to the group AGROFERT of an entrepreneur Andrej Babiš. The fusion was approved without conditions. The group AGROFERT operates in the area of agriculture, food industry and chemical industry. The company ZEMOS is a firm of agricultural basic industry dealing with plant and animal production (milk production, breeding of cattle and piglets). Besides others also companies MILKAGRO and OLMA are among consumers of the company ZEMOS.

Information from negotiation of presidency of ACH CR

From day the 16th of October 2008, Peruc, Lounsko. Successful negotiations and proceedings of the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic (ACH CR) concerning the national settlement of direct payments. A public and written promise of the Premier to find and provide missing 2,6 bil. CZK was sufficient reason for calling out of protests prepared for 13.10.2008. Wood engraver in Šumava: Austrians and Bavarians want to complain in Brussels

Austria and Bavaria prepare a complaint at European level due to spread of wood engraver from Czech forests. Only this year Austrians reckoned damaged caused by Czech wood engraver in their forests to roughly million Euros. Deník was informed on it by Oskar Novák from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vienna. Therefore by urgent request of Austrian institutions an ambassador of the Czech Republic in Austria Jan Koukal met with Johannes Wochmacher, a head forester of Oberösterreich (High Austria) monastery Schläg, a ministerial counsellor Albert Knieling from the Ministry of Environment, anda general secretary of the association Land& Forst Wernerem Andrä .
