NKÚ: Land fund did not sell estates for the highest prices

According to the Supreme Control Office the Land Fund of the Czech Republic (PF ČR) did not sell some state estates for the highest possible prices in former times. The fund organized three rounds of a public competition or a selective proceeding even in cases when the only person was interested in a piece of land. Thereby it contradicts a principle of competition to sell an estate for the highest price. A spokeswoman of the control office Radka Burketová said it to ČTK today. A checked period was first of all years 2004 to 2007. ČTK founds out a statement of the Land Fund. According to results of the NKÚ check 145 pieces of land of 430 checked controlled sales was transferred in the third round of the competition.

Decrease in commodity prices continues on Commodity Exchange, most in pea

All commodity traded on the Commodity Exchange in Brno have cheapened since the last meeting of brokers two years ago. Prices decreased from two to three percents; in fodder pea as much as by 12 percents. A penultimate exchange séance this year showed itself with increased demands but a low supply of agricultural commodities, a general secretary of the exchange Karel Zezula told today. In most commodities prices got under a level before last year´s harvest after which they increased in ranks of many tens percents. Fodder pea cheapened intensively; two foregoing periods its price as the only one grew on the exchange.

European ministers of environment will discuss climate-energetic packet on Thursday

The Council of Ministers of Environment of the European Union member states will discuss among others also a climate-energetic packet in Brussels on the 4th of December, the last time before December´s summit of the European Council at which French presidency wants to achieve a final agreement of member states on this fundamental set of legislative proposals for climate protection. Czech delegation will be led by a vice-president of the government and the Minister of Environment Martin Bursík. “The Czech Republic unambiguously supports the present presidency´s effort so that the packet would be approved at the level of EU Council by this year´s end” Martin Bursík says.

China´s interest in soya from the USA has decreased

On base of speculations, according to which demand for import of soya beans from the side of the biggest world importers, China, will decrease, in frame of yesterday´s trade séance on the exchange Chicago Board of Trade a price of the most active futures contract for soya decreased to the lowest value in last 15 months. A cause is a governmental effort of China to support growth of prices of domestic agricultural production and thereby to increase local farmers´ incomes. For the reason Chinese government agreed to buy 1 million metric tons of soya and 1,3 million tons of corn from domestic farmers.
