Government has to draw back action for European Commission otherwise we risk scandal in vain

Martin Bursík, the Minister of environment will suggest drawing back an action for the European Commission owing to the National Allocation Plan for allotment of permits for trading with green-house gas emissions today already for the second time. “The drawing the action back is a logical step after the European Council approved a climate-energetic parcel which fundamentally changes a European emission trade system. At the same time it is pure necessity if we do not want make a complete fool in Europe when we will go to litigation with the European Commission as the presiding country ”, the Minister of Environment Martin Bursík says.

Second stage of land offices reform starts

A second stage of fundamental organizational changes, aim of which is strengthening of organizational autonomy of the Central Land Office in county regions, is ready to start. A director of the Central Land Office Jaroslav Vítek mentioned it at a nationwide meeting of land offices today. The first stage of land offices restructuring which meant separation of functioning of land offices (PÚ – pozemkový úřad) and agricultural agencies (ZA – zemědělská agentura) took place on February this year. The second stage will enlarge a direct management of PÚ by the Central Land Office which results from the Law on land adjustments and land offices.

Government will discuss tax allowance of bio-fuels of second generation

On Tuesday the government will discuss amendment of acts on consumer taxes which presumes a tax allowance in so called bio-fuels of second generation. It is dealt with bio-fuels which are not produced from food raw materials and are not used, meanwhile, in the Czech Republic. ČTK was acquainted with it by the Ministry of Finances. The novel force relates to an approval of multi-annual program of other use of bio-fuels in transportation by the European Commission. From the force, which is expected from July 2009, the part of bio-fuels which in not fossil fuel will be extempted from the consumer tax. Fossil fuels are for example petrol and diesel oil.

For the first time in the Czech Republic. Municipality sue farmers for management

Czech courts solve a case unique in the country – for the first time at all farmers defend a suit which tax them with bad management on fields. A municipality in Rokycany region brought a suit against a company Kladrubská. In the first round of the contention the agricultural firm won. The regional court in Rokycany refused a blame of farmers for damages which they should reputedly cause to the municipality by a landslip from fields to village ways and flats and sludging of sewer system and a local pond. However, the contention does not end. As a chief magistrate of Němčovice Karel Ferschmann confirmed to the online daily Aktuálně.cz, the village lodged an appeal against the verdict, so now the Regional Court in Pilsen will decide on the action.
