Government approved budget of CR Land Fund for next year

On Tuesday the 16thof December, the government approved a budget of CR Land Fund for 2009 proposed by the Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič. The proposal will be now reviewed by the CR Chamber of Deputies. „The budget supposes total fund incomes in 2009 in height of 2.015 billion crowns. The biggest share is amounted to by incomes from sale of state agricultural land, in total 1.3 billion crowns which stems from supposed total acreage of transferred land 50 thous. ha and from payments of transfers realized in recent years“, the minister told and added that the rest of total incomes includes incomes from lease of state property, from privatization, from transfers of state real properties and so called other expenditures.

Cabinet approved 1.1 billion crown extra for agriculture department

On its negotiation on Tuesday the 16th of December the government approved a transfer of next to 800 million crowns of means from a reserve fund of the Ministry of Agriculture in the chapter General Cash Administration and their subsequent transfer in a budget of the agricultural department for 2009. Also, the government agreed transfer of money for the Subsidiary and Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund in form of subsidy for financial coverage of supports for agriculture in height of 300 million crowns.

6th round of reception of applications from Rural Development Program will start in January next year

More that two billion crowns are determined for support of projects in the 6th round of reception of applications for support in frame of the Rural Development Program. The reception of applications will be opened at the beginning of January 2009. The support is determined first of all for modernizing of agricultural enterprises, cooperation in development of new products and technologies, further for diversifications of activities of non-agricultural nature, also for establishment and development enterprises as well as logged on of young farmers.

LČR did wrong in selection of timber harvesters after Emma; meanwhile fine is 40 000 CZK

The state enterprise Lesy České republiky (LČR) acted illegally in selection of forestry firms after this year´s windstorm Emma. From the Office of Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) it got a fine of 40 000 CZK. A vice-chairman of the Office Kamil Rudolecký published it today. ÚOHS conduct a case of still six administrative procedures, so, other sanctions can be expected. Lesy ČR does not agree with the Office´s verdict and are going to lodge a resolution, Radek Drahný, a spokesman of the enterprise said to ČTK.
