Vice-chairman of ASZ to milk market problems

“I am not an owner of the Agrarian Chamber (ACH)– among others also this we got to know from Mr. Veleba, the president of Agrarian Chamber of the CR. I think that it was quite interesting to watch Otázky Václava Moravce (OVM) (a TV program) this Sunday (4.1.2009). A final part of this program was devoted to the present collapse on the milk market. At the same time we got to know in the program introduction that farmers (in this case it is necessary to say farmers from ACH CR) will protest owing to low buy-out prices in front of trade chains where they will hand out Czech milk products and explaining leaflets for free to customers.

Gandalovič presented direction in which he want to Council of ministers of agriculture to go

Tools which Czech presidency wants to use to put in practice a political compromise reached on the question of Health Check, further a future form of direct payments, a change of conditions of animal protection during transportation and slaughter, but also the present global financial inhibition – these topics were a subject to negotiation of Euro-commissioner for agriculture and rural development Mariann Fischer Boel and her colleague responsible for health and consumers Androulla Vassilia with the minister Gandalovič. A reform of the Common fishery policy was discussed by the minister Gandalovič with the Euro-commissioner Joe Borg.

Changes in animal breeding requiring a special care

The public notice No. 411/208 Col., from 18.11.2008 replacing a public notice on dangerous kinds of animals from half of the nineties (No. 75/1995 Col.) determines kind of animals demanding a special care and order that these animals have to be incommutably marked (if they were not already marked on base of other rules regulation) and present a standard of application for a licence of breeding of such kinds of animals. It is dealt with following groups of animals: of reptiles all poisonous kinds and all crocodiles; of birds cassowaries; and of birds of prey, owls, short-wings and waders all named kinds; of mammals all primates.

Sugar on several-week maximums

The sugar price climbed on the highest values over the last eight weeks on ICE Futures stock market. According to some analysts it is because of expectations that demand for sugar will grow since according to them its price is too low and also because it a favourable impact of the parcel on recovery of American economy, prepared by the coming American president Barack Obama, is expected. It could stimulate state of mind on both joint-stock and the commodity markets.
