Gandalovič welcomed other support for milk sector
The European Commission suggested increasing of import compensations in milk, butter and whey on Thursday morning. The Minister Gandalovič observes not only the actual situation but also, in a regular contact with Euro-commissioner Mariann Fisher Boel, he evaluates impact of the earlier announced tools. Regarding these negotiations and consultation with department colleagues, above all from Poland and Slovakia, he welcomed other support for milk department. Intervention purchases will start on the 1 st of March. On Thursday morning, the European Commission suggested increase of import compensation in dry milk, butter and whey.
Bursík prepares the biggest ecological subsidies in history
The state will add other billions crowns for heat cladding of houses and a support of ecological heating this year. Other billions, especially from European funds, arrive at the already announced ten billion crowns, which the Ministry of Environment will obtain by sale of permit for greenhouse gas emissions. The state Environment Fund is going to appeal twice this year to owners of schools, retirements homes and other public buildings to apply for other subsidies for ecological measures. “We have not known yet how much money they will be able to obtain, however, approximately it will be billions”, a director of the State Environment Fund Petr Štěpánek said to Aktuálně.cz.
There are big differences in milk prices
According to analyses by the Dutch Agricultural Union there are differences in December milk price as much as 20 cents among 15 the biggest European dairy works! There are big differences in milk prices over December. The highest milk prices were pay off in December by Finnish Hämeenlinnan Osuusmeijeri which paid in average 46.69 €. The last in the fifteen of the biggest is German Nordmilch with 25,85 €. A similar order is also in evaluation of 12-month average. Prices in New Zealand decreased to 16,1 Euro cents, the USA shows an average price 28,12 € over December. In this connection, many countries start to discuss also problems of efficiency and productivity of dairy industry. Germany expects further decrease in number of processors who will not be able to adapt to the market. Smaller dairy works in the north Germany are the most endangered.
Czech and Moravian wines celebrate success in Israel
Moravian and Czech wines are very well presented in the world. Vine-growers, who took over an appraisal from a prestigious international competition The Mediterranean International Wine & Spirits Challenge in a residency of Israel ambassador in Prague today, are convinced about it. The Czech Republic was quantitatively the second represented viticultural country in November there. “Important is that not only wines originating from Moravia were apprised, but also that they had come into being from Moravian varieties. It concerns also the wine Aurelius which got golden medal; and also Pálava, which obtain double golden appraisal and became the total champion”, Miloš Michlovský from Vinselekt Michlovksý from Rakvice said to ČTK.
