Cotton aims at south without compromise
On base of speculations, according to which continuing deceleration of global economics will lead to further decrease in demand for Chinese textile and thereby also decrease in demand for cotton fibres from the side of China, their the biggest world processor, the decrease in price of the most action futures contract for cotton continued on the exchange ICE Futures U.S. in frame of yesterday´s business day in already sixth business séance. According to an independent source, cotton import in China will decrease by 29 % to 1,5 million metric tons this year while last year the total volume of cotton import in the mention country reached 2,11 million metric tons.
Moravian and Czech wines made goal in Istrael
Moravian and Czech wines are very well presented in the world. Vine-growers, who took over an appraisal from a prestigious international competition The Mediterranean International Wine & Spirits Challenge in a residency of Israel ambassador in Prague today, are convinced about it. The Czech Republic was quantitatively the second represented viticultural country in November there.
Farmers cheapen already by 27 percents. Their prices return to 2005
Prices of products decreased in the Czech Republic; their year-on-year decrease still accelerated in January. Production costs, which subsequently significantly influence also consumer prices, again decreases year-on-year at the year beginning. According to the Czech Statistic Office (ČSÚ) farmers sold in average their products for prices from 2005. Year-on-year fall of prices deepened in agriculture to 26,8 percents. Prices of industrial producers decreased by 0,8 percents. On the contrary, building works raised in prices by 3,2 percents.
Nestlé´s profit increased by 69 percents thanks to sale of share in Alcon
A net profit of Swiss food company Nestlé SA increased by 69 percents to 18 billion Swiss francs (249,5 billion CZK) last year. That thanks to an extraordinary profit 9,2 billion francs from sale of a share in the company Alcon. Without this sum the profit of the company would decreased. Incomes of Nestlé increased by 2,2 percents to 109,9 billion francs last year. Adjusted incomes, without inclusion of an influence of exchange rates and new acquisitions changes increased by 8,3 percents. Operational profit grew by 4,3 percents to 15,68 billion francs.
