Inquiry: Czech started to tame their expenditures for foods
Czech started to tame their expenditures for foods at last year´s end when economic crisis arrived also at the Czech Republic. It results from an inquiry of the company Median in which practically two thirds of informants stated that they use discounts. The company Median informed ČTK on it today. While in the second half-year of 2007 roughly 22 percent people spent for foods 2000 to 3000 crowns monthly, so in the same period last year according to the inquiry of the company Median their share decreased to 16,3 percents. The second in order is a sum from 3000 to 4000 crowns which 15,8 percents of informants spent for foods in the second half-year last year.
9 billion crowns will be prepared for water supply and sewerage
The Chamber of Deputies approved an adoption of credit from the European Investment Bank with one voice in fastened regime already in the first reading today. It is dealt with an important step for initiation of program Building and renewal of infrastructure of water supply and sewerage II. This program will administer overall 9,1 billion crowns and it will be focused on building of water supply, sewerage and sewage treatment plants; at the same time it will include a support of co-financing of buildings from Operational Program Environment. “The credit from the European Investment Bank represents a third of means in the prepared program Building and renewal of infrastructure of water supply and sewerage II. It is important so that the credit adoption of would be passed by the Senate and the president at short notice.
Ecological agriculture further increases worldwide
According to the newest study 32,2 mil. hectares of agriculturally used areas in the world are farmed organically. Worldwide 32,2 mil. hectares of agriculturally used areas is organically farmed. It was showed by the newest study on bio-agriculture in the world presented at the biggest world bio-products fair BioFach in Norimberk. According to it ecological agriculture in 2007 increased worldwide by 1,5 mil. hectares. The biggest areas are situated further in Australia (12 mil. ha), then in Argentina (2,8 mil. ha) and Brazil (1,8 mil. ha).
Farmers in Vysočina supplied more pig and beef meat on market last year
Farmers in Vysočina increased supplies of pig and beef meat. In total over 52 000 tons of meat was produced in the region which is roughly by three percents more against 2007. According to data of the Czech Statistic Office, Vysočina belonged in the branch among regions with highest growth dynamics and it shared in the nationwide meat production with 13 percents. About 41 600 tons of pig meat in slaughter weight were supplied from breeding in Vysočina, year-on-year in addition by 1,6 percents. Only farmers in Central-Bohemian, South-Bohemian and South-Moravian regions had higher year production.
