Chamber of Deputies supported increase of Land Fund budget

The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the CR supported increase of budget expenditures of the Land Fund of the CR (PF) for the year 2009 by 1,3 billion crowns with one voice on base of recommendation of the Agricultural committee at today´s negotiation. An original governmental proposal counts on an PF budget expenditure level in height 1,8 bil. crowns. The increase by 1,3 billion crowns, which the parliamentary agricultural committee recommended to representatives, is determined to even-up a part of direct payments to Czech farmers.

Novel will raise the price of water

An amendment of act on water, which should come in force from the beginning of 2010, will raise the price of drinking water. However, the Ministry of Agriculture (MZe), a proposer of the amendment notifies that this increase should be only minimal in a first step. Moreover, the water tariff should increase in 2011. At present the amendment of act is being finished up on base of comments raised from a comments proceeding. According to an executive directress of the Association of branch of water-supply and canalization of the CR (SOVAK) Miroslava Melounová, the new legal regulation increase the price of underground water which is drew by water-management firms for production of drinking water, and subsequent distribution to final consumers.

Ministry of Agriculture has permitted for the first time to award wines of original certification

At the end of February, after a demanding and almost two-year lasting approval process, the Ministry of Agriculture accorded a historically first permission to award wines of original certification (VOC). It has the force of res judicata from today. MZe permitted it on base of the law on viniculture and viticulture by request of an civil association VOC Znojmo. “A break-through of the permission consists in that vine-growers will classify themselves wine which corresponds to exactly given collections of characteristics of the varieties Ryzlink rýnský, Veltlínské zelené and Sauvignon from the Znojmo sub-area”, the minister Petr Gandalovič said.

PEF wraps as alternative in packaging beverages

Packaging should primarily serve to an adequate stocking of tapped beverages and their protection against external influences.
