Chiefs of veterinary services of EU member countries negotiate in Prague
An informal meeting of veterinary services chiefs of EU member states takes place on the 14th - 16th of April in Prague. It discusses for example conditions of export of milk, milk products and red meat from the EU in the Russian Federation, and a draft regulation of the European Parliament and the Council on sanitary rules concerning by-products of animal origin which are not determined for human consumption. The veterinary supervision plays a non-fungible role in security of health unobjectionable food of animal origin also for facilitation of trade on the Community´s market with third countries.
Real incomes in agriculture decreased in EU last year, however, in CR they grew
After a growth of real incomes in agriculture in the European Union by more than nine percents in 2007 they decreased last year by 3,5 percents. Nevertheless, the Czech Republic and Slovakia belong among eight of 27 countries of the block where these incomes per one employee grew last year. It results from estimation accessible on the internet pages of the European Statistic Office. Against 2007 the real incomes per one employee in the Czech Republic increased by 2,4 percents; in Slovakia by 9,7 percents. The biggest growth at all was recorded in two the newest EU members – Bulgaria and Romania. Both of them announce an increase by more than 28 percents.
Equality of subsidies in all EU is fiction
If there is other term than “economic crisis” is at present declined in all cases by both the agricultural public and the agricultural politicians, then it is “equality of subsidies for agricultural entrepreneurs” in frame of all the present EU-27. However, the equality in a sense “to everyone the same per hectare, head or farm” will happened nor after 2013 although many firms set their hopes to that.
Germany forbade growing of the most extended genetically modified corn
Germany decided to forbid genetically modified corn of a firm Monsanto which is the only in such a way modified plant grown in Europe. Germany wants to forbid growing genetically modified (GM) corn of the firm Monsato, it was announced by German Ministress of Agriculture Ilse Aigner on Tuesday. This news is a shock for American bio-technological firm Monsato which sells this corn.
