PGRLF wants to start supporting of farmers and food-producers at end of April
Programs of the Subsidiary and Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund (PGRLF) to support farmers and food-producers and processors afflicted by an economic crisis should be started up at the turn of April and May. PGRLF director Martin Karban told for an actual issue of daily Zemědělec. Originally, farmers and food-producers should have had a possibility to spend financial aid in height of 2,6 billion crowns already during April. However, start of the programs was stopped by a missing agreement of the European Commission. The information was confirmed to ČTK also by a spokesman of the Ministry of Agriculture Petr Vorlíček. According to him technical difficulties appeared in the programs notification which caused the delay of their start.
Dairy works Olma in Olomouc fell in loss 214 million CZK last year
The dairy works Olma in Olomouc fell in a loss 214 million crowns last year. In 2007 economy of the second most important Czech producer of milk products ended up with a net profit 25,6 million crowns. A substantial share in the last year´s loss belonged also to a decrease in margin in products, as Martin Krystián, a financial director of the dairy works told. Olomouc dairy works was overruled by a group Agrofert of an entrepreneur Andrej Babiš at this year´s beginning. “Last year´s loss was caused by a decrease in sale prices of products meaning a decrease in incomes which impacted a created margin which decreased by 148 million crowns.
Novel should enable to stud farm in Kladruby to spend European money
An amendment of act on agriculture should enable spending means from European funds for repair of premises of the National stud farm in Kladruby. Petr Gandalovič, the Minister of Agriculture, among many others amendments to the law introduced his intention at yesterday´s meeting of a parliamentary agricultural committee. According to valid European rules the stud farm as a state enterprise cannot spend means from European funds, its change in an allowance organization would make money from the EU accessible.
Strong support of bio-power in Great Britain
Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) should support production of bio-power in the country with a total sum in a currency conversion 4,8 billion EUR. Individual subvention for heating or electric systems provided to particular enterprises can reach 30 000 to maximally 300 000 EUR. If a group of farmers shares in or realizes one project, the subventions are substantially higher. The subventions will be granted for solar equipment, heating systems, cooling systems on milk farms, and plantations of fast growing wood species.
