Local action groups will have more time for applications for subsidies

The Minister Gandalovič prolonged a time limit for correction of Applications for subsidy in relation to incompetent VAT from 14 to 60 days. Local action groups will have more time for a preparation and negotiation of relevant adjustment of projects in their representative bodies and towards banks. In frame of an administrative control it is essential to adjust projects submitted in February in the 6th round so that they would be in harmony with the valid interpretation of the European Commission to the question of non-acknowledgeability of VAT for municipalities and confederations of municipalities.

On behalf of food safety ministry introduced new service for consumers

The Ministry of Agriculture and its Information Food Safety Center set up a new service for consumers. A registered user of web pages www.bezpecnostpotravin.cz has a possibility to have sent in his/her PC actual news on objectionable foods which were in Czech market network caught by inspection bodies. What a consumer can do for it? It is sufficient only to register himself/herself on the main page of the web application bezpecnostpotravin.cz and to tick besides obligatory data also a cell “Risk of foods” (notice sending). Other information to mass registrations on an address olaf.deutsch@mze.cz.

MZe: Czech wine production increased to record 820 000 hl last year

Czech wine production almost doubled to 820 000 hectoliters thanks to mainly new vineyards in last year´s season. According to estimation of the Vine-growers Union of the CR, this year wine production could increase to 840 000 hectoliters. It results from a situation report published by the Ministry of Agriculture (MZe). Approximately 508 000 hectoliters of the last year´s production was white whine and 321 000 hectoliters the red one. A significant increase in wine production Antonín Králíček from MZe explained mainly by the fact that vineyards planted out four years ago started to produce. While in 2000 fertile vineyards took up an area 11 236 hectares; now thanks to a state support the acreage moves about 17 000 hectares.

Czech Republic manage rape in Balkan way

It became fashionable to wonder about year by year enlarging yellow flood on fields. Admittedly, the colour spectrum of spring Czech landscape has changed in last years. In view of for example Kunětická hora, yellow fields gleam towards Krkonoše, Orlické hory and Železné hory. And it is unbelievable that instead of the Czech Republic used rape economic potential, to process it further, to export it in form of demanded products, it gets rid of unprocessed raw material in a cheap export.
