Farmers will go on roads in regions with agricultural machines on 29th of April
Farmers want to draw attention to difficulties of dairy cattle breeders; on the 29th of April they will go out with farm machines on roads mainly in the region Vysočina and farther in regions Pilsen, Pardubice and the South-Moravian region. A part of protest will be peaceful manifestation in Chlumec nad Cidlinou. A chairman of the Agrarian Chamber of the CR Jan Veleba said it to ČTK today and added that the protests will not be a targeted road blockade. The Czech Republic will not be the only state where the protest will take place; farmers should demonstrate in more countries. Meanwhile, according to Veleba, it is not known where everywhere farmers will join the action organized by the German Milk Producers Union.
Martin Bursík will represent EU at meetings of biggest world economies
The European Union at negotiation of the Major Economies Forum on climate and energetics at beginning of the next week will be represented by the Minister of Environment of the CR Martin Bursík as a chairman of the EU Council for environment. He will be accompanied in the Union delegation with Sweden Minister of Environment Andreas Carlgren who will take over a function of the chairman of the EU Council for Environment from the 1st of July this year. The negotiation of the Major Economies Forum on climate and energetics was called together by the USA president Barack Obama.
Cases of special new pig fever was detected in USA
Seven cases of a special and unusual new kind of pig fever were detected in people in California and Texas. It was reported by an American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today. All seven people have recovered, however, the virus is till this time unknown mixture of common cold typical among pigs, bird and people, the CDC emphasized.
Prevent feeding drop-out
In pig fattening it is quite frequent that feeding machines drop-out or so called “bridges” are formed in the feeding machines. Experts from a university in American state Nebraska investigated an influence of repeated lack of feed on efficiency of fattened pigs. In four tested variants groups of 60 animals (15 pieces in one stall) were tested for an influence of sufficiency of lack of feed – without a drop-out of feeding, with one, two or three drop-outs in a total length 20 hours every two weeks. The experiment started 37 days after putting aside of piglets and it lasted more than 16 weeks.
