Commodities: Improved weather stopped from further price growth

Already second sequential day, trading with corn experiences weakening of its price on a commodity market with background futures contract on Chicago Change. Beer trend overruled this market after optimistic news on improvement of weather in main agricultural areas of the USA. Also a big trading pressure from the side of producers of this farm crop helped to it. However, it is true that the sowing pace stays still slow in key areas of east and north corn zone.

Fourth round of applications for subsidies from OP Fishery will be started in June

In frame of the fourth round of the Operational program Fishery, which will take place on the 23. – 29. June, applicants will be able to submits projects in the measure 3.4. Pilot projects. 10 million crowns are determined in this round. Rules for providing of subsidies for projects in this measure were approved by the Minister of agriculture Petr Gandalovič at the end of April. This reception round of applications for subsidies for the measure 3.4. Pilot projects in frame of the Operational Program Fishery 2007 – 2013 is focused on testing of innovative technologies under conditions close to production.

New government will check ecological super-commission

A future government of Jan Fischer is going to check tender for removal of ecological damages for 115 billion crowns. A server iHNed.cz informs on it with reference to expression of a future Minister of Finances Eduard Janota, who will have the check of one of the biggest public commissions in domestic history as his task. “It is not said there that it could not be stopped. When I would not be convinced that the commission has sufficient control mechanisms, it will predetermine my behaviour. However, now I do not know details, so I do not want to anticipate”, Janota told.

Agrarians against cancellation of direct payments

A non-governmental agrarian organizations do not agree with an intention of the Ministry of Finances which plans that it will cancel evening-up of direct payments to farmers in next two years. Farmers would loose approximately 4,7 billion crowns yearly. It results from a material of expenditure frame of the state budget for year 2010 to 2012 submitted last year in the government by the Minister of Finances in demission Miroslav Kalousek. Kalousek suggests for the year 2010 to cut the budget by 63 billion crowns; expenditures for the year 2011 should be lower by 92 billion.
