Fishers, register

Fishers wanting to export have a deadline for submission of application for approval and registration of their production breeding the end of May. They have to submit the application to their regional veterinary administration. Already at the last year end and at the beginning of this year the State Veterinary Administration of CR drew attention of fishers to this duty. It is on base of regulation of the veterinary law (§ 5a) and according to § 4 of public notice No. 290/2008 Sb., on veterinary requirements on animals originating from aquaculture and aquaculture products, on measures for prevention and overcoming some infections of water animals, fishers have to ask their regional veterinary administration for approval of a production aquaculture business and registration of a farm.

Minister Šebesta introduced his priorities at head of agricultural department

A successful finish of Czech presidency (CZ PRES) of the EU Council and a composition of real budget of the agriculture chapter for 2010. These are the main tasks for management of the Ministry of Agriculture for next weeks and months. At Tuesday press conference it was stated by the minister Jakub Šebesta who acquainted journalists with priorities of his working at the head of the department. According to his words, the attention will be paid especially to an informal meeting of ministers of agriculture and fishery which will take place at the turn of May and June in Brno. In his opinion, in preparation of the meeting teams of specialists from the Ministry had made a big deal for a successful course

Competition for farmers only from October to March, ČSSD suggests

A competition for farmers and agricultural firms should not be possible to announce in period from the 1st of April to the 30th of September, so during s vegetation period. Ladislav Skopal, a ČSSD representative and vice-chairman of the parliamentary agricultural committee suggests it in a government amendment of insolvency law which should be passed by the Chamber of Deputies on Friday. The proposed paragraph states that an exception should refer only to plant and animal basic industry, i.e. to farming whose result are plant or animal products before their further processing.

Farmer portal helps farmers to savings; fruit-growers at head of year-on-year increases in its use

A farmer portal enabling electronic submission of obligatory declarations and announcements, for example to vine-growers, fruit-growers, hop-growers, and nurserymen recorded year-on-year a significant use. At the head of imaginary scale fruit-growers appeared who realized threefold accrual of electronic announcements last year against 2007. Radim Šedivý from the company CCV Information systems, which is an author and a technical supplier of the portal, said it at the 15th year of European conference “Information systems in agriculture and Forestry”.
