ČSÚ: In last days, tomatoes cheapened the most

In last days in the Czech Republic, a price of tomatoes and pepper decreased the most. Also smooth flour cost less. On the contrary, consumption potatoes and consumption apples, natural mineral water, bread and fresh butter rose in price. It results from data published by the Czech Statistic Office (ČSÚ) today. Statistics recorded to the 2nd June the biggest decrease in tomatoes prices, by 20,6 percents. In the monitored period they cost at average 34,33 CZK per kilogram which was by 8,89 crown less. A kilogram of peppers was cheaper by 5,44 crowns and it was sold in trade network at average for 52,09 CZK.

Differences in collagen in meat raw material

An aim of study was a comparison of some physical and chemical characters of collagen of animal origin. The study shows data about amino-acid composition in most important thirteen muscles and about a content of free amino-acids in muscles of cattle. Possibilities of practical use were shown as well as a relation between a bio-chemical structure of raw materials containing the collagen. Determination of the amino-acid content was carried out in big cattle both in fixed amino-acids and in amino-acid obtained by hydrolysis of muscle proteins under the temperature 120°C during 24 hours in an environment of hydrochloric acid.

Emco wants to increase export share in incomes from 10 to 30 percents

Czech company Emco wants to increase an export share in the total turnover from the present ten to 30 percents in next years. Roughly in a month, the firm should open a production in Russia, however, besides the East also businesses in Egypt, Venezuela and Brazil develop well. It was said to ČTK by Jana Vyskočilová, the firm manager at a conference on expected business development today in Brno. At present, Emco exports in 30 world countries.

Milk producers in SR blocked Bratislava dairy works Rajo

Approximately thousand of milk producers from all the Slovakia blocked with heavy machines the biggest Slovakian dairy works Rajo today. They protest against reputedly unfair practices of processors and the second lowest buy-out process of milk in the European Union. The protest was organized by the Slovakian Union of Milk Business Industry (SZPM - Slovenský svaz prvovýrobců mléka) and the Food Chamber (SPPK). The dairy works management promised the protesting another negotiation.
