Gandalovič proposed longer delay for settlement of shares in cooperatives
A deadline to which people will be able to ask for settlement of property shares in before-November uniform agricultural cooperative should be lengthened by five years to 15 years. The ex-minister of agriculture Petr Gandalovič (ODS) proposed it in the Chamber of Deputies yesterday. He joined his proposal to a negotiated government amendment of law on agriculture. The same proposal was recently supported by also the Senate when proposed to lengthen the deadline for settlement of property shares in cooperatives also by five years. Gandalovič pointed out that according to the present law a ten-year time of expiration will expire this year.
Head-managers for rural development met in Brno
Head-managers for rural development from all EU tried to find answer to a question what is a role of agriculture in EU rural areas. On the 9th to 10th of June they met in Brno where the 1st deputy minister of agriculture Ivo Hlaváč and a representative of General Management for Agriculture of the European Commission, Mrs. Loretta Dormal-Marino told them for example whether “agriculture and rural development pull the same push-cart”, how the policy of rural development contributes to agricultural, or about connections of rural development with agri-tourism and the environment.

Czech minister met at bilateral negotiations with a recently appointed Ministress of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Elena Skrynnik and with a gubernator of Leningrad area Valerij Serdukov where they discussed possibilities of other cooperation, especially in transfer of advanced Czech technologies- Russian representatives highly estimated supplies of breeding cattle which, according to words of the ministress Skrynnik, very well adapts to Russian conditions, and successful Czech-Russian projects in area of animal production in the republic Bashkiria and in Samaria area
Campaign “Crown for BIO in schools” will help schools to implement bio-foods
Agencies Green Marketing and Outcomm prepare a common project for September this year with a name Crown for BIO in schools. The program partners will present 1 CZK from every sold product in the given period for development of the program “Bio in schools” which is arched over by the Foundation Partnership. It is dealt with a project in the area of social marketing with participation of partner firms operating on the bio-products market. BIO products included in the program will be visually marked with the project logo “Crown for BIO in schools”. The project will be supported by a comprehensive communication campaign.
