Attitude of ASZ ČR presidency towards demonstrations
Members of the Presidency of Private Agriculture Association of the CR (ASZ ČR) consider as necessary to express their opinion to still more and more often protests of some Czech agriculture organizations and also to a prepared demonstration of the European organization of farmers COPA-COGECA in connections with the action of Council of Ministers in Luxembourg. In short, all these pressure actions aim to force Czech and European politicians to take various regulation measures which should solve the crisis in milk and in all agriculture.
Committee suggest to change rules of state land sale
People who bought state agricultural land from the Land Fund in the past and they have not paid it yet in a three-year time-limit will be able to transfer it for example on their relatives. Also, the will be able to sell it to a business firm under certain conditions. These and other proposals were suggested by a parliamentary agricultural committee for acceptation to a government amendment of act on conditions of state land sale. Jiří Papež (ODS), a chairman of the committee said it to ČTK. People who according this law bought agricultural land from the state in the past have a possibility to pay it for next 30 years. The committee recommend so that they could transit it also to their siblings, husbands or wives, or to sell it to a legal entity.
Budget of MZe should decreased by third next year
Expenditures of the Ministry of Agriculture should decrease roughly by a third from this year´s 17,75 billion CZK to 12 billion crowns next year. It results from a proposal of medium-term expenditure frames by the year 2012 which were passed by the government on Monday. The department expenditures should decrease also in following two years, to 11,53 billion in 2011 and 10,76 billion in 2012. The expenditures do not include EU subsidies which share in the total Czech agriculture budget by more than half.
J&T offers its meat business
Salamis Kmotr, Krahulík or Vysočina Hodice will maybe change an owner. A group J&T tries to sell its meat-combines. A common enterprise of groups PPF and J&T probably strives to get rid of branch which does not suit to it. A rising Energy and Industrial Holding (EPH) – completely in the spirit of its name – tests a sale of meat industry division. According to information of HN, now companies Kmotr producing salamis Poličan, Vysočina and Herkules, one of tens the biggest smoked products producer in the country – the firm Krahulík, and Vysočina Hodice are for sale.
