Representatives approved start of Land Fund transformation
The Chamber of Deputies approved a government amendment of act on Land Fund of the Czech Republic, prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, in the third reading today. The aim of novel is first steps towards a transformation of the Land Fund. Concretely, it is dealt with a change in the Fund management from collective to individual, further with an enlargement of competences of the fund´s supervisory board, and with maintenance of control function of the Chamber of Deputies. The novel also suggests a delimitation of an extent of necessary reserve of the state land for realization of development state intentions.
Farmers have their will, EU will deal with milk
The European Union will deal with the situation on milk and milk products market, whereas, the European Commission will elaborate in next two months an expert analysis of the present situation. It results from a final document of the present Brusse ls summit of European Twenty-Seven, which ČTK has available. Owing to low buy-out prices of milk in all Europe, thousands of farmers demonstrated in Belgian metropolis on Thursday.
There will be little foods and expensive
Demand for foods will increase in next ten years and thanks to it agriculture will stay a strong branch. Prices of harvested crops and plant oils will grow to which a fast rise of bio-fuels will contribute. Also meat prices will increase, however, not so much. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) claims it- Despite an impact of financial crisis and decreasing economies on all branches, agricultural will be doing relatively better thanks to increasing incomes.
Extremely dry weather prevent mosquito calamity in South Moravia
This year´s extremely dry weather in South Moravia protected, meanwhile, inhabitans of the region from threatening mosquito calamity. Pools run dry in floodplain forest where usually mosquitoes come out in thousands. Oldřich Šebesta from a hygiene station in Břeclava said it to ČTK today. The situation could be changed by long rains. Just rain falls have increased water level in South-Moravian rivers in the spring. In some areas, especially near Lanžhot, rivers flooded in the landscape. Just these lakes are a breeding place of the obtrusive insect.
