Rape does not have to starve in autumn
Rape needs besides phosphorus and sulphur above all nitrogen in autumn – best in an ammonium form to be able to create leaf surface and roots. Rape needs in autumn according to a development between 50 and more than 100 kg/ha of nitrogen to be able to create leaf mass and roots. The plant deposit a part of nitrogen in root collar for a fast regeneration in spring. From the phase of 8th leaf rape creates flower buds and than it does not have to suffer from a lack of nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and sulphur). Plants uses nutrients deposited in a root collar in growth phases during winter, unless they are received from the soil in a sufficient amount.

Crop of grapes will be by as much as half lower this year
Rain at time of flowering of grape-vine and hails – possibly two the biggest causes blame for that this year´s grape crop will be significantly lower in some places of South Moravia than last year. It concerns especially Svatovavřinecké wine, Tramín, Ruland grey, and Neuburg wine. Storm came, it rained in flowers, and a pollination was lower”, Baloun described a negative impact of summer rain downpours.
Fat cows suffer more of uteritis
A fitness of dairy cows during standing dry (without a lactation) is a decisive for whether cows after a delivery will sicken of uteritis or a retention of afterbirth. It was presented by Dr. Claire Ponsart from a French union of insemination stations on the occasion of the Cattle Heath Day hich took place in Giessen. The expert demonstrated an existence of direct mutual relation between a fitness (body condition) in the period of standing dry and an occurrence of health problems in around-delivery period, which is for example a fever, a retention of afterbirth and endometritis, on results of research in whose frame 234 Holstein-Friesian cows with second or third calf were examined.
