State subsidizes bio-mass furnace. With Japan´s agreement
As many as 95 thousand crowns from the State Environment Fund can be given to a family which will decide to exchange an old coal furnace for a furnace for pellets and other biomass. So that the state could pay off so high subsidy, at first the Ministry of Environment would have to require an agreement of Japan. Why? The ecological fund distributes money to households which were provided just by Japanese. The subsidy is paid off in frame of the program Green for Savings which is primarily focused on heat-insulation of houses. There is about ten billion on the account now which the state obtained by sale of redundant permits for carbon dioxide emissions. The purchaser is Japan.
Bestowal of mark Klasa at Země živitelka 2009
On the occasion of opening of the 36th year of the exhibition Země živitelka (Earth Breadwinner), 19 domestic food products, which obtained a national mark Klasa, were published. This quality mark has been bestowed since 2003. Till this time, 1335 products (including new ones) from 222 Czech and Moravian producers have obtained it. Klasa is about to promote quality Czech foods and to help Czech entrepreneurs in European competitiveness. Most products which meantime obtained the mark Klasa come from South Bohemian region.
Wheat turned back to decrease
The biggest decrease in the last week was recorded in frame of Friday trade séance on the change Chicago Board of Trade by the most active December futures contract for wheat. The reason was a report of International Grain Council according to which the global wheat production in the present marketing year, ending on the 31st of May, will reach 662 million metric tons and will exceed June expectations, which talked about 654 million. The increase in production against the expectation is tipped above all in the United State and in France where it should increase by as many as 2 million tons to the total 38 million.
Farmers slaughtered by third more heifers
Czech agriculture experiences a difficult time. No of main commodities is not profitable in last months. After pig breeders, who suffered considerable losses in last two years and a big part of them ended up, now there is a danger of bankruptcy for dairy cow breeders. We asked about the situation in the traditional branch a chairman of ZD Skalka Lipí, Zdeněk Houška.
