Program against IBR is successful
An intensive and consistent procedure in frame of obligatory curative program against IBR (infectious bovine rhinotracheitis) brings very good results. A continuous evaluation shows that there is a hope that it will have been done in 2013, maybe. It is a very optimistic but real presumption. The program started on the 1st of January 2006 with that there were 19 % of recovered cattle breeding at the end of 2005 and now there are almost 60 % (exactly 57 %) of recovered, free of IBR.
France will submit Italy in world wine production this year
France will probably deprive Italy of primacy in the world wine production, however, of which Italy deprived France last year. According to French agency FranceAgriMer, this year´s wine production in France is estimated to 4,8 billion liters. According to a local inquiry from the last month, Italy supposes that this year´s production will be 4,7 billion.
Carp is main fish of our ponds
Almost 2000 tons of fish from more than 3800 hectares of water areas – these are data of 2008 of farmers in the region Vysočina. Thereby they rank among regions with the biggest haul of these fresh water animals. The biggest share in this amount is represented by carp without competition with 1350 tons which is 70 percents of all fish hauled in total from ponds and fish-farming premises. Henceforth, carp is the main fish of our ponds but also the main export fish determined above all for west-European markets. Especially thanks to narrowly aimed breedings, the haul of rainbow trout achieved 232 tons and American brook trout 35 tons. Tench is represented in the total production with 57 tons, amur with almost 27 tons, whitefish with 14 tons and mascalonge with 13 tons.
