Green for green savings

Moderation of rules of a subsidy program Green for savings, announced by the Ministry of Environment at half of August, opens really a way for new interested persons. There are now much wider opportunities above all for towns and municipalities which are able to co-finance the necessary actions. An externalization of the program has not been changed. It is determined for owners of family and flat houses. Besides individuals also owner communities of flat units, housing co-operatives, towns and municipalities (including town parts), eventually other legal entities can join it.

CSO increased harvest estimation, in cereals it is estimated decrease by 6,7 pct

The Czech Statistic Office increased an estimation of this year´s harvest today. According to data processed in half of August, a production of basic cereals should be year-on-year lower by 6,7 percents and be 6,994 million tons. CSO supposed a year-on-year decrease by 10,4 percents in July. According to actual data of the Ministry of Agriculture (MZe), the harvest of cereals and rape will be higher than are statistics´ estimations. Rape production with a supposed hectare yield 3,18 tons was estimated by CSU to 1,128 million tons which is by 7,6 percents more than last year.

Less than two percents of field remain to be harvested in south Bohemia

Cereal harvest in south Bohemia almost ends, cereals from 152 360 hectares is under a roof. 99,6 percents of cereals are harvested with an average yield 4,48 tons per hectare in spite of a negative expectation only by a bit lower than last year. Hectare yields of barley and rape are against the last year even slightly higher. A directress of the Regional Agrarian Chamber of South-Bohemian region, Hana Hricová informed about it ČTK today.

It is not possible to prove that bio-foods are healthier

Earlier, an estate in Sasová near Jihlava has paid seventy thousand crowns monthly for a veterinarian, now it is not more than seven thousand crowns. How so? A common pig breeding was changed by a new owner, a young farmer Josef Sklenář, to an ecological and bio-pigs living in more natural conditions are healthier from the nature. They use antibiotics only rarely when homeopathic treatment does not work. Nevertheless, in forty-year old large-scale fattening stations saturated with pathogens common pigs are preventively hocused by medicines so that they would be able to fight with such an environment and quickly grow in a slaughter weight.
