Wheat aimed upwards

Wheat price during yesterday´s trading on Chicago Board of Trade aimed upwards whereas December contract strengthened by 19 cents (3,81 percents) to 517,75 cents for bushel. The p rice was supported by weaker dollar and purchases of institutional investors. Also news from Australia where infavourable weather could reduce a local wheat harvest are positive. Australia is the fourth biggest wheat exporter in the world.

Infection of new pig flue has been proved for the first time in USA

American authorities confirmed the first case of infection of new flu in pigs at the United States territory on Monday. With reference to American Ministry of Agriculture, American media informed on it. Virus of the new or pig flu was, according to authorities, proved in cattle showed at fairs in Minnesota in September. American authorities emphasize that people can not be infected by this new flu by eating pork.

Biggest campaign for careful forestry

The biggest campaign for support of a careful forestry certificate FSC of started in the Czech Republic on Monday. A project with name “Loves wood, protects forest” aims to draw attention to a possibility to buy wooden goods with the international mark FSC. It guarantees hat the good is produced from legally cut wood, from a forest managed with a friendly approach to the nature, and regarding human and social right of inhabitants. “The mark BIO foods and its signification is known by most Czech citizens”.

Ministers of agriculture of EU agreed on other measure for support of milk sector

Today, the Council of Ministers of Agriculture and Fishery of the EU adopted a proposal of the European Union on incorporation of milk production among sectors for which it is possible to adopt special measures in case of critical situation and also a possibility to introduce a system of milk quotas surrender. At the same time it supported by majority a Commission´s proposal to allot 280 million Euros for enlargement of subsidiary measures which should help to stabilize the situation in milk branch in 2010.
