AFP: Big French wine still have to compete with immitations
Petrus, Romanée-Conti, Château d'Yquem... Prestigious wine marks which are luxurious products the same way as handbags or other accessories from great fashioners raise greediness of counterfeiters, whose bottles appear on the market still more and more. An agency AFP writes this with reference to professionals of this branch. False wines, “It always were here a bit, however, with rise in prices of big wines this phenomenon exceeds”, Sylvain Boivert, a director of council for "grands crus classés", as the most prestigious category of French wine is marked, says. Nevertheless, he emphasized that contrary to luxurious fashion marks “still (in case of wine) it is not dealt with industrial production of imitations”.
Czech agriculture needs conception
The Ministry of Agriculture is going to constitute a workgroup from December 1 which should form a document with a vision of Czech agriculture after 2010. Jakub Šebesta, the Minister of Agriculture told it at a special seminar meeting Agricultural Policy 2010 this week. Already for several months, non-governmental and food organizations draw attention to the fact that Czech agri-food sector misses a long-term conception document, and the Ministry does not solve this problem. Members of the workgroup should be also representatives of agricultural public. This platform should serve to a new government as a base for definition of a firm anchorage of agriculture in the national economy in the future period, Šebesta mentioned.
Farmers complain about bio-diesel, it fill up motors put aside for long time
A bio-component obligatorily added in diesel can make from the diesel an unusable fuel in long-term storage. The problem concerns especially drivers who put aside their cars for winter, or farmers who use some machines only in a certain part of year. A private farmer from the region Slaný has experience with this problem. When he was not successful in starting the combine-harvester after a longer brake, he took the motor into parts and looked for a defect. With his surprise he found out that the collapse of the machine is caused by a bio-component which must be obligatorily admixed in a common diesel.
