Farmers will forfeit other billion

The Official gazette of European Union published historically the lowest crown exchange rate towards euro today into which agricultural supports are converted for Czech farmers in piedmont and mountain areas. Its height 26,285 CZK/EUR means that the Rural Development Program will pay off to farmers for the year 2010 by a billion less that it is guaranteed by legislative. Mainly breeders of ruminants and above all meat cow breeders will forfeit these means. The total loss over 2007 – 2010 will be represent already 3 billion CZK. It amounts to fifteen thousand CZK per one meat cow.

The government agrees with amendment of Land Fund

Today, she government expressed positive stand on parliamentary amendment enlarging a possibility of the Land Fund of the CR to pay land adjustments which specify property relations to land. The Minister of Justice Daniela Kovářová said it after a negotiation of the Cabinet. Now the amendment will be discussed by representatives. The fund can pay presently only adjustments in cadastres with unfinished rationing or unifying proceedings; the novel is about to remove these restrictions. According to the law, the fund can give for land adjustmentsas many as 400 million crowns yearly.

Fruit did not arrive at schools. Suppliers are wanted

Czech vine-growers will be allowed to acidify wine

Czech vine-growers will be allowed to acidify their products this viticultural year. The government passed a proposal today which enables it to them. An exception whose giving is enabled by European legislative should increase competitiveness of Czech vine-growers towards imported wines. Owing to extremely sunny weather, grapes from this year´s domestic harvest had a high sugar content which caused increased reduction of wine acid directly in grapes.
