Don´t us deny farmers what belongs them

The Private Agriculture Association of the CR does not agree with strengthening of a budget of the Ministry of Agriculture of the CR by 1,5 billion crowns from the state budget for subsidies top-up which was approved in the Parliament. Ing. Josef Stehlík presented it in the daily Zemědělec No. 1-2/2010. However, this opinion is incomprehensible, therefore I react to it. As a citizen and tax-payer I feel fully the problem of indebtedness of the Czech Republic, despite the fact it is not possible to waste on many sides, not to solve a reform of retirement system and health care, to build the most expensive communication in Europe, an on the other side to deny farmers what it belongs to them fully.

Eco-farmers will be checked newly also by state institute ÚKZUZ

Ecological farmers, a number of which annually increases year by year in the Czech Republic, will be checked also by the Central and Experimental Agricultural Institute (ÚKZUZ) from this year. The Ministry of Agriculture informed on it today. Till this time, they were supervised by only three private control subjects. Inspectors of ÚKZUZ will check roughly five percents of the total number of eco-farmers throughout a year, so about 130 subjects. “From the joining of the state control body we expect mainly increase of transparency of checks and a possibility to react faster to possible deception of consumer or unauthorized spending subsidy means”, the Minister of Agriculture Jakub Šebesta stated.
