Apple grove disappear, they bring low money

For almost thirty years apple groves in front of a municipality have inherently belonged to Popice. However, private growers started to cut a big part of the trees last year. Above all for the reason of bad state of the woody species. Almost a half of land is owned by the municipality which rent the land to farmers. They sow mainly cereals and corn now. “The plantation has been in Popice already since 1980´s, it has been overmature. The land owners, in number of tens, rented the land to farmers after a land adjustment . They are no longer interested in fruit growing. You will not sell it at present. Already last year many apples remained there and to send people to pick them does not pay off to you”.
