Minister Dusík to representatives: It is up to you. 15 hectares of agricultural land disappear in the Czech Republic every day. Chamber of deputies can change it today.

The fait of Czech landscape is in representatives´ hands. An amendment of law on protection of agricultural land fund (ZPF), which could significantly slow down a dramatic decrease of agricultural land from last years, submitted by the Ministry of Environment has lied for several month in the Chamber of Deputies. A significant increase of payments for its appropriation would lead to that building over free landscape will not pay off and investors will start to use already built over territories (brownfields). “I will call upon the representatives to vote about the amendment already this week. Czech landscape does not merit political obstructions which paralyze the Chamber of Deputies. The representatives can slow down the trend that cut 15 hectares daily from agricultural land. It is up to them”.
