Who designed in fact logo KLASA? Can it be used?

Like a weird rehandling of a commission for creation of a logo KLASA, marking quality foods of inland origin, is in the background of disputes concerning authorship of this logo and legitimacy of its use. However, from till this time collected documents and legal analysis it results meanwhile that the owner of user rights to the logo KLASA is and will be the Ministry of Agriculture. At least a communication director of the ministry, Hugo Roldán, insists on it. A competition for making of the logo KLASA was wined by a company Noesis Advertising in 2003, however, an agency Štrob, Širc & Slovák should create the logo for it.

Quality „made in České Švýcarsko“ should increase interest in local products

Craftsmen, farmers or producers of souvenirs in a territory and surrounding of České Švýcarsko (Czech Switzeland) have s chance to increase their prestige and sale by obtaining a certificate for production of an original regional product. A project of introduction of the mark for local products is started by a not-for-profit organization České Švýcarsko in cooperation with the Regional Marks Association. The project aim is to support local producers, who use local materials, whose products stems from the local tradition, are typical for this region and at the same time do not damage the environment.

Survey: Growth of bio-food market slowed down last year

Growth of inland bio-food market slowed down significantly last year. According to preliminary results of investigation of an agency Green marketing, most of producers and businessmen increased their incomes only slightly, or they remained at the level of 2008. The market grew by tens percents yearly in foregoing years. The deceleration was caused by an economic crisis. Bio-products are mostly significantly more expensive against common foods in the Czech Republic. According to Tom Václavík from Green Marketing, despite the fact there are producers and sellers who got by tens percents more last year against the year before.

Apicultural programme for 2011 – 2013 will be approved by European Commission

A successful subsidy title for bee-keepers will have a third continuation. An aim of prepared programme, which will run in 2011 – 2013, is especially technical help to bee-keepers and groups of bee-keepers. The programme will enable a special training of bee-keepers, for example on bee diseases prevention. The program will provide co-financing of purchase of new tools and equipment necessary for a proper care of bee colonies, a fight against varroasis and measures for renewal of bee colonies by quality genetic material. In recent year there has been a decrease in number of bee colonies in all Europe owing to varroasis. Bee keepers with a significant support of the Ministry of Agriculture have coped with the decrease for the most part.
