No swine fever marks

Our republic is recognized as free of classical swine fever; the last occurrence was recorded 11 years ago in wild pigs (in 1999). Therefore it is possible to trade without limitations with both the pig meat and meat of wild pigs. Nevertheless, especially died pieces of wild swine were examined and time after time antibodies against this disease were checked. Now, already for 7 month, no serological tests have proved antibodies against the classical swine fever.

Madeta wants to buy dairy works in Jaroměřice and Moravské Budějovice

South Moravian Madeta is interested in dairy works in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou and Moravské Budějovice in the region Třebíč. A majority share in the dairy works is being sold by French cheese producer Fromageries Bel that refuses to reveal possible buyers. According to the new issue of weekly Ekonom, speculations have appeared that also Olomouc Olma belonging to the company Milkagro from the group Agrofert Holding cares about the dairy works.

Wine origin is protected in our country the best of EU

On the occasion of the Day of Wines from the CR at the 13th international beverage fair for gastronomy Wine&Distillates, which takes place from the 27th of April 2010 on Prague fair ground in Holešovice, the Ministry of Agriculture of the CR will introduce a portal. On this web address all wine consumers can verify the quality and origin of inland archived wines. It is dealt with the first such a project of consumer protection in the European Union at all. The Ministry of Agriculture cooperates on the projects of wine archiving with a technology supplier of Register of vineyards, the company CCV Informační systémy.

There is danger of bee plague infection in Vyškov region

Bee-keepers from the region Vyškov have a ground for wrinkles immediately at the season beginning. Bee plague appeared in the neighbouring district and veterinarians included the region into a protective zone. “The infection hit Hamiltony, Kučerov and for example Radslavice in the region Vyškov last year. This year, the first proved causes of infections are in surrounding of Bzenec”, a director of Regional Veterinary Administration for South Moravian region Jaroslav Saliva specified.
