Chief of ÚOHS confirmed million crown fine to Lesy ČR for mistaken commission

A fine of one million crowns to the state Lesy ČR (LČR) from the Office for Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) for mistakes in commissions for 35 million CZK from 2007 holds valid. It was confirmed by a chief of an antimonopoly office Petr Rafaj who did not satisfy the firm appeal. Rafaj said it to ČTK today. Lesy ČR can appeal to a court against the fine. It is dealt with one of the biggest sanctions which the antimonopoly office has ever imposed for commissions. The firm respects the ÚOHS chairman´s decision and will not appeal to a court, Zbyněk Boublík, a spokesman of LČR told.

Government approved continuation of ecological super-commission

A state giant commission for removal of old ecological damages in a value of almost 115 billion crowns will continue. The proposal to continue the tender submitted by the Ministry of Finances was approved by the government today. The Minister of Finances Eduard Janota said it to journalists today. According to legal analysis elaborated for the Ministry, a cancellation of the commission would be problematic and risky and in case of such a step the state would be in danger of legal proceedings of the tender participants.

Euro: PGRLF prepares new support for sale of cereals to state

The Subsidiary and Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund (PGRLF) prepares a new support for applicants who want to sale cereals to the state. After this year´s harvest, conditions for sale of cereals in this rescue network organized by the European Union will be significantly complicated; applicants will have to pay a deposit of 20 Euro (roughly 511 crowns) for one tonnes of cereals. The daily Euro informs about it in Monday issue. “We are looking for a solution which would not increase cost burden to entrepreneurs applying in intervention purchase”, a chairman of directorship and a director of PGRLF Martin Karban said to the daily.

Prices of agricultural producers decreased by record quarter last year

Prices of agricultural producers decreased by record 24.8 percents at average last year, whereas, the highest decrease was shown by plant products whose price fell almost by third. It results from a publication Tendencies and factors of macroeconomic development in 2009 published by the Czech Statistic Office on its internet pages. Owing to lower prices, Czech farmers´ profit intensely decreased last year. “In 2009, prices of agricultural producers were at the lowest level since 2000”.
