Biggest employment growth potential is in country

An interview with “face of the country”, a member of management of the Private Agriculture Association of the CR and an ODS candidate in Central-Bohemia region, Josef Stehlík. Development especially of high-productive agriculture for rural development is not fundamental - rather vice versa. Large agricultural enterprises have to decrease costs in a competition fight with one another which leads to a permanent decrease in number of their employees. Moreover, these enterprises draw the vast majority of subsidies which, however, they spend in operating costs, so in fact this money are conducted away from Czech countryside.

Farmers: Damages to rape will be lesser

Fields in a region started to get yellow. Rape started to blossom. “We expect that it will have been in full bloom during the week”, an agronomist of the Agricultural business cooperative in Němčice nad Hanou, Martin Kleveta told. The weather of recent days is suitable for rape for the present. “Spring rainfall was sufficient this year, however, it should rain no more during the bloom. A similar situation happened in 2008 when it was raining for a week and owing to moulds we recorded big losses then”, Kleveta explained. A fungicide spray costs farmers about five hundred to one and half thousand crowns per hectare, according to the quality and so the preparation price.

Call for submission of projects in frame of program LIFE+ for 2010

For the financial perspective 2007 - 2013 it was decided about an integrated approach to financing of environment. Even this financial tool focused on the environment - program LIFE+ became its part. The program replaced former programs Forest Focus, NGO Programme, Urban Programme, LIFE Programme (Nature, Environment, Third countries) and General fund supporting policy development and policy implementation. The program LIFE+ consists of thee parts (pillars) called “LIFE + Nature and biological diversity”, “LIFE+ Policy and administration in area of the environment”, and “LIFE+ Information and communication”.

Farmers in Vysočina intensify promotion to improve their sale

Recently, farmers in Vysočina have intensified promotion of their products. Large firms endeavour to face food export. According to findings of ČTK, family farms are going to increase a direct sale to customers and processors. 95 farmers from the entire republic joined in an internet program “Find your farmer” during the first months. An enterprise in Třebíč region started a campaign to support sale of milk from automats recently. “Farmers have intensified promotion because they see that it does not go without promotion”.
