Freshboxes with new inland farmers

PGRLF supported credits to farmers for 6.25 bil. CZK last year

The Agricultural and Forestry Support and Guarantee Fund (PGRLF) supported credits for farmers for 6.25 billion crowns in total last year which was by 1.3 billion more than the year ago. The loans were used for purchase of agricultural machinery, land and financing of business operations. It results from PGRLF annual report which will be discussed by the government on Monday. The fund subsidizes interest rate to farmers and provides guarantees to the received credits. PGRLF approved 2286 applications last year with the total provided support in height 537,27 million crowns last year. The credit sum, supported by the fund found in 1993 till this time, reached 124 billion crowns.

Semenec has new nature trail

A new natural forest trail arose in forest on the hill Semenec above a junction of the rivers Lužnice a Vltava near Týn nad Vltavou, in the region České Budějovice. The trail was built by Lesy ČR on base of initiative of Mikroregion Vltavotýnsko and in cooperation with Stanice Pomoc přírodě. The trail arose in frame of so called Program 2000 by means of which the enterprise supports statewide public beneficial forest functions. The natural trail has a form of a round forest walk on the hill Semenec of a length almost 6 kilometers. The circuit starts and end at a view-tower of Týn nad Vltavou and there are ten stops on the trace with information boards.

CR obtained support for milk and honey promotion from European funds

The governing committee for promotion at the European Commission (EC) approved two Czech programmes for milk and honey promotion. Overall, the European Commission received 55 programs from member states, 36 of them were refused and 19 approved. The CR stated two programmes which will include a wide scale of advertisement activities like tastings, medial presentations on the internet, in the press and in the television. EC decision about the approval has to pass a legislative procedure now and be published in the Official Journal. “After acceptance of the programme, significant negotiations lead by the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF) followed with representatives of the EC department which has in charge the promotion of agricultural products (DG AGRI D4).
