Animals suffer in sultriness same as people

Birds and cattle search for shadow. Fallow-dears, wild pigs and emus like bathing. In these days there is danger of thermoplegia, sunstroke, dehydration or organism insufficiency not only for people but also for animals. Some of them bear with hot weather well, vice versa other species look for shadow and water surfaces. Same as people also animals should keep drinking regime and have an access to shaded places. They should not be anyhow overloaded and go for walks in direct sun. An endangered group is above all the older age category and cardiac, same as people.

Land Fund denationalized 50 000 ha of land last year

The Land Fund of the CR sold, transferred and released roughly 50 000 hectares of land last year. It results from an Annual report on the fund activity which will be negotiated by the government on Monday. 272 809 hectares remained in the Fund administration to the end of 2009. Beside others, the Land Fund administrates state agricultural real estates and release compensatory parcels to restituents. At time of the Fund rise, roughly 900 000 hectares of agricultural land fell in its administration. By means of them it should settle restitution claims of people who could not get back their original parcels for various reasons.

Water and sun will raise price of rolls and bread. Even in Czech Republic

The entire Central Europe has to count on the fact that more expensive rolls and bread will appear in shops soon. Spring floods and the current hot weather have already partially damaged and damages further the cereal and corn crop. For example wheat prices grow fast. Wheat price has risen on the exchange in Chicago by 18 percents over the last two weeks; it is the most expensive over a half of year. A similar situation is on commodity exchanges in Europe. “Hot and dry weather damages crop. It means the only one: prices have to rise. They have already reached the bottom this year certainly”, Emmanuel Jayet said to the daily Financial Times. He monitors the agricultural commodities in French bank Société Générale.

Cows have not mad any more. Czech Republic wants EU to moderate checks

The disease of mad cows disappears from the Czech Republic. Therefore, the State Veterinary Administration has prepared an application to the European Commission for mitigation of the present strict checks to a level which is sufficient in old countries of the European Union. If the Commission complies with, it will save money to Czech farmers who should not have to have tested for BSE so many pieces of cattle as now. Till this time they have to have examined brain of each slaughtered animal older 30 months. However, this limit should be put up to 48 month in the future.
