Farmers in South Moravia have mostly finished harvest, except Znojmo region

Harvest in South Moravia comes to finish. Farmers in most regions of South-Moravian district have almost harvested all, an exception is the region Znojmo where harvest is still high. However, farmers complain for bad and rainy weather which damages this year´s crop. It resulted from their expression for ČTK. The harvest has finished in the region Hodonín and Vyškov. Almost roughly ten percents of crop remain to be harvested in the region Blansko and about five percents in Břeclav region. It was presented by representatives of agrarian chambers of particular regions. According to them, this year´s crop will be average or worse than the last year.

What are sufficient guarantee?

Conditions of trade with veterinary goods, it means with raw materials and foods of animal origin, but also with living animals in frame of intra-Community trade, i.e. among member countries of the EU, are governed by a veterinary legislative of the EU. Generally it can be said that the conditions are same for all member states and their meeting is checked by veterinary inspection authorities of particular countries.

FAO slightly decreased estimation of this year´s cereals crop

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UNO slightly decreased estimation of this year´s world-wide cereals production to 2,238 billion tones from the foregoing 2,28 billion tones. The reason is mainly decrease in wheat production, especially in Russia. However, despite of the decrease, the harvest should be the third highest in the history and above the five-year average. The FAO stated at once that its food price index increased to the highest value in two years in August.

Czech genetics in the country of origin

A company Bovet has managed to perform a feat of derring-do when it succeeded to sell a breeding bull named Tempo Bovet ET P. in rearing station of breeding bulls in Montrond les Bains – in France, the country of origin of the breed Charolais. He will compete with his French peers for as better result as possible here.
