Putin: Russia can cancel ban of cereals export earliest next autumn

Russia can cancel a ban of cereals export from the country after the end of next year´s harvest, so earliest in November 2011. Russian premier Vladimir Putin told it today. Russian government blocked cereals export owing to summer drought till the end of this year and this step wanted to revise after evaluation of this year´s harvest.

Payments for exemption of land from fund will increase

An increase of payments for exemption of agricultural land from a fund should bring as many as a billion crowns yearly. This measure has been approved by the Ministers of Environment and Agriculture Pavel Drobila nd Ivan Fuksa. It will be anchored in a new law on land protection and a law on protection of agricultural land fund which will be put forward ogether to the Chamber of Deputies. “Every day, five hectares of agricultural land fund disappear under new development in the Czech Republic. We want to set parameters of the law for its protection”, Fuksa stated.

Commission wants to guard commodity prices

The European Commission wants to have under control prices of important plant-crops and raw materials. The pivotal measure should consist in determination of the maximum price limit which would be taboo for wholesalers in time businesses. An Union commissioner for internal market, Frenchman Michel Barnier was informed on this intention by German daily Financial Times Deutschland yesterday.
