Veleba: Cattle breeding can be saved by bio-gas stations

Cattle breeding has its future in the Czech Republic, if a sufficient number of bio-gas stations will be successfully built. The stations will use waste from animal production and at the same time they will compensate farmers for losses from meat and milk production. The president of Agrarian Chamber, Jan Veleba, said it at an International Conference on breeding and nutrition of farm animals in Mistrovice in the region Ústí nad Orlicí today. 742 bio-gas stations with operation of 520 megawatts could be distributed across the country in 2020 which will favourably influence the run of domestic agriculture. Bio-gas stations will produce energy which can be sold. It is possible to detach 600 000 hectares of land for energy industries.

Bio-farmers can sell bio-farm products more profitably.
