Jan Veleba: slight revival of sale of milk from automatic machines happens

A company Agri Toko opened its 150th milk machines in the CR in the biggest Central-Bohemian town Kladno on Monday, October 4. Milk is supplied in the automatic machines in Kladno by Farma Hole (a farm Hole) situated near Velké Přílepy in the region Prague-West. The firm owner Odřich Poláček told that he possesses four automatic machines in Prague and the Central-Bohemian region and delivered milk in one other. Directly in Kladno he put into operation a second milk machine. “We deliver 200 liters daily in the first one and it is always empty. Obviously, people are not afraid of our milk”, Poláček stated.

Global meat production grows

According to American ministry (USDA), the most important meat producers will produce 238 million tones of beef, pig and poultry meat this year. In Dow Jones News opinion it corresponds to 9 % increase in comparison with 2005. Thanks to an increase of world population and growing market power there is an increase in demand for met, especially in Asian countries. During following 40 years it will be necessary to double the global meat production to be able to keep pace with the increase in number of people on the planet, the president of International Permanent Meat Organization (OPIC) Arturo Llavallol stated.

Beavers, cattle and sewerage plant deprive people of drinking water; punishment will be difficult

A July case of river pollution, owing to which three villages in the region Šternberk forfeited drinking water, has officially a first trespasser. According to the agricultural inspection it is cattle which pastured where it should not. Other two “suspicious”, a sewerage plant in Moravský Beroun and beavers with their dam still wait for a sentence. Municipalities were cut off from water already in July by an imaginary “conspiracy” in which at first beavers built a dam on the river Bystřice which serves as a resource of drinking water. They dammed up its course and the river chose as a substitute way a meadow on which a heard of cows pasture, so the water was polluted.

Bread and pastry will dramatically rise in price

A proper price jump on shelves with pastry and bread could surprise buyers next year. Price of flour and other raw materials has increased. Nine of ten bakeries are in loss owing to a price decrease during to the economic crisis already now. Prices of flour, electricity and other raw materials started to grow in giddying pace. The fact that pastry and bread have not raised in price yet is only a consequence of a pressure of large chain stores on price preservation.
