Food Chamber prepares logo for marking of Czech foods

The Food Chamber prepares a new mark for marking of high-quality domestic foods. A logo with national flag and a sign Czech product or Czech food with an addition “Guaranteed by the Food Chamber of the CR” have been already registered at the Industrial Property Office. A president of the Food Chamber Miroslav Toman told it at Žofín forum devoted to agriculture and food industry.

Government approved State of the CR Environment Report 2009

The government of the Czech Republic accepted the State of the CR Environment Report 2009on Wednesday, November 3, submitted by the Minister of Environment Pavel Drobil. The report has to be published in three months from the government acceptance and the Prime Minister will put forward it also to the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the CR.

Criticism of change proposal of CAP after 2013

German experts at a special forum VDL expressed fears among other of an increase of bureaucratic burden in connection with a change of CAP. At a meeting of German professional association Agrar, Ernährung, Umwelt (VDL) in Berlin, a professor Michael Schmitz from the University in Gießen criticized a planned splitting of direct payments. The professor Michael Schmitz, a scientific counsellor of the Federative Ministry if Agriculture expects difficult regulations and more bureaucracy in case that the splitting of direct payments according to the EC proposal will really happen.

Agrarian Chamber project for 9 million CZK should increase milk consumption

A project of the Agrarian Chamber (ACH) with a name White plus has the aim to increase consumption of milk and milk products in the Czech Republic. A three-year campaign, whose costs exceed nine million crowns, started in October. The project is financed from means of the European Union and national resources. It was introduced by representatives of ACH and the Ministry of Agriculture at a press conference today. The consumption of milk and milk products in the Czech Republic decreases in the long-term horizon. For example a butter consumption has fallen by 50 percents since 1989.
