Owing to mistakes, EU states have to return subsidies for 15 billion crowns

In total 19 member states of the European Union have to return agricultural subsidies in value of almost 15 billion crowns (578.5 million Euros). The Czech Republic should return only roughly 17 million crowns (670 000 Euros) owing to insufficient check of exported raw-materials. The European Commission informed about it journalists today. The union states have to return money owing to non-keeping EU rules within their use. By far the biggest “sinners” are Grecians who have to return 350 million Euros in total, so more than eight billion crowns.

Sanitation of wild fair game population

Meat from wild animals in placing in the market network has to satisfy conditions of health unobjectionability; it must not contain any extraneous substance or residues of veterinary medicaments. Wild game, in this case fair game, suffers from various parasitic diseases which make their life difficult. The animals not only suffer but also a quality of their product deteriorates. According to the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic (SVS ČR), huntsmen should hunt besides trophy males of hoofed game also weak pieces which is difficult in hunting grounds full of game and the population of deer, fallow deer, mouflon game and wild boars weaken.

CSO: Price of tomatoes has raised, sugar has cheapened in two last weeks

Price of tomatoes has risen the most in last two weeks, more than nine percents. Contrary to the end of last year it is almost by 41 percents. Also a price of smooth wheat flour and caraway bread has increased relatively significantly. Vice versa, customers paid less for granulated sugar, ham salami and half-fat milk. It results from data published by the Czech Statistic Office today.

Food prices raise, UNO is afraid of commotions

Food prices climbed after a strong October growth at a level where they were for the last time in so called food crisis at the turn of the years 2007 and 2008. It was stated by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of UNO. Growing prices revitalize fears from commotions which tossed with poor countries from Bangladesh to Haiti two years ago. However, higher prices of agricultural commodities will affect all the world, without exception. Companies like McDonald´s and Kraft have already announced a rise in prices of their production next year.
