Again objectionable butter

Who want they can get knowledge from the regulation of Council (EC) No. 1234/2007 that butter should contain at least 80 % of milk fat, maximally 16 % of water and a content of other substances in dry matter must not exceed 2 %. These parameters, besides the health unobjectionability, are verified by authorities of state veterinary inspection in frame of checks. Concerning products from the EU countries, it is dealt with sampling inspections, non-dicriminating. The sense of the checks is so that customers would have not only healthy unobjectionable foods for their money but also high-quality foods.

Agricultural subsidiary program bring young farmers to bankruptcy

The EU program for support of starting farmers in the CR malfunctions owing to too zealous office workers of the Ministry of Agriculture. One of the aims of the rural development was in the accession in the EU to support measures for security of young farmer generations, above all on the field of multifunctional and bio agriculture. However, the reality in Czech countryside is different, as several applicants found out in several last years. High credit interests, an oversize bureaucratic burden, a family crisis, and financial failure force young farmers to abandon agriculture.

Study: Biofuels will cause damages in EU like 26 million cars

The aim of EU, so that ten percents of fuels in transportation would be represented by biofuels in 2020, will have an impact on the environment like additional 26 million cars on roads. It is introduced in a study published by the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) today and on creation of which several non-profit-making organizations participated. Roughly 90 percents of biofuels will be produced from agricultural crop-plants in 2020. Owing to the Union objectives it will be necessary to change about 69 000 square kilometers into agricultural land, which is an area roughly equivalent with double area of Belgium.

Obligatory vaccination again bluetongue was cancelled in France

The obligatory vaccination again catarrhal sheep fever was cancelled in France on the 2nd of November. So, the vaccination of cattle, sheep and goats will be only voluntary. The obligation of vaccination against the serotype 2 and 8, which is practiced by veterinarians, is maintained in case of cross-border sale of living animals. The panel recommended in other animals only a voluntary vaccination, whereas the vaccine can be applied to animals either by a manager of agricultural enterprises or veterinarians. The Ministy of Agriculture under the direction of Bruno Le Maire issued a practical manual with a name ”Thanks to vaccination I will protect my herd”.
