Union states have to return money to EU

The Union states have to pay in the common treasury more than 579 mil. €. for incompetently paid subsidies and fines for neglect of control activity. The member states have to reimburse a sum in height of 578 mil. Euros to the European Union because of incompetently paid subsidies or fines for neglect of control activity. The highest amount in height of 336 mil. €. has to be paid by Greece, more than a half of this sum is placed to the government debit when it offended in derivation of subsidies according to acreage of agricultural land.

Numbers of cattle have decreased

The foreign trade with cattle had a positive balance. To the 30th of June, the numbers of cattle have decreased by 3,3 percents. Pig breedings to the 1st of August were lower year-on-yearly by 8,5 percents. Pigs, whose numbers are already lower than two million, have been bred in the country at least since the World War II. Exports share in the pig meat consumption already in almost a half. A passive balance was shown in all categories by foreign trade with meat from July to August. The most significant deficit (more than 40 000 tons) was in pig meat.

Chicken selection in USA

A research of eating habits in the United States of America proved clearly that chickens are still a base of American consumers´ food. 83 % interviewed people answered a question whether they had bought chicken in recent 60 days positively. 53 % eat chicken more than four times a week (47 % expressed themselves that they eat once or twice a week). Ways of treatments of chicken bought by American consumers are various. From fresh chickens from a compartment of meat products in supermarkets to barbecued, frozen, fried chickens or chicken meat in viands and starters in form of oven-ready foods or on several-course boards in first meat courses served after a soup.

Sale of milk and meat decreases, farmers unload pigs

Farmers wring hands and are afraid that they will have to start to kill herds, to liquidate the most valuable they have. The last data of the Czech Statistic Office from the end of October confirm them in pessimism. The statistics shows that farmers marketed by 1.5 percents less amount of milk in the 3rd quarter than at the same period last year. Domestic meat-combines delivered on the Czech markets to customers by 4.6 percents less amount of meat in the same assessed period which represents only 132 184 tons of meat from the beginning of July to the end of September.
