Minister Fuksa negotiated with his Austrian colleague
The cardinal topic of negotiation of the minister Ivan Fuksa with his Austrian opposite Nikolaus Berlakovich on Friday in Prague was a reform of the Common Agricultural Policy. The negotiation touched also the area of food quality and the situation in milk sector. The minister Ivan Fuksa discussed with the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Management of Water Resources of Austria, Nikolaus Berlakovich, positions of both countries to the future forms of the Common Agricultural Policy and an expected publication of official proposals of European Commission on the 17th of October.
First yoghurteria in CR announces higher people´s interest in yoghurt specialities
The first Czech yoghurteria, which is in operation already for two years in Brno, records a higher people´s interest in yoghurt specialities like yoghurt ice cream, yoghurt sundae and desserts. On the contrary, interest in classical yoghurts is not higher, mainly because of discount offers of yoghurts in large chains. Kateřina Horáková, a works manager if the yoghurteria Hollgurt, which offers yoghurt delicacies to Brno residents at Brno fairground, said it to ČTK. According to Horáková, the yoghurteria conception is quite widespread abroad, above all in Italy. In her opinion, Hollgurt, which offers yoghurts produced by Karlovy Vary firm Hollandia, is obviously still the only yoghurteria in the Czech Republic.
SZIF hid temporarily list of grant recipients
The State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF) hid temporarily a list of grant recipients on its web sites effective immediately because of technical reasons to make alterations to this lists of grant recipients for an indispensable period in compliance with a judgement of the Court of Law of the European Union. On base of the judgement of the EU Court of Law, regulations of the Council and Commission (EC) which require publication of personal data of recipients of grants from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) are invalid from the day of rendition of judgement, i.e. from 9.11.2010, only in individuals.
Strategy for Kladruby will help to quench emergent thirst for investments in premises and to find long-term funding resources
The National Horse-breeding Farm of Kladruby nad Labem is the national cultural monument already for almost ten years. Not to discredit this title and above all to fulfill further its mission of preservation of the unique breeding premises with several-hundred year tradition it is necessary to revitalize this whole area. The Ministry of Agriculture released more than 22 million crowns for the bare necessities repairs of the premises in September. On Thursday, the minister Fuksa arrived personally to view Kladruby with an aim to obtain as best idea of the current state and requirements of the horse-breeding farm as possible. He brought also suggestions for concrete possibilities and steps to a successful spending of European grants and finding of long-term funding and promotion resources for the farm.
